Rights and obligations regarding outplacement
What are my rights and obligations regarding outplacement?
If you are dismissed, you may be entitled to outplacement support under certain conditions. Are you, as an employee, wondering if you qualify for this assistance? Or, as an employer, unsure whether you’re required to offer outplacement?
Using the tool below, you can find out what your rights and obligations are as an employee and as an employer.
Important to know when participating in outplacement
- Your outplacement is paid for by your employer or the Social Intervention Fund (in the case of bankruptcy).
- If your employer is paying and you are dismissed with a severance payment (with a value of more than 30 weeks), they are allowed to deduct 4 weeks of your severance payment to cover the cost of your outplacement.
- If the Social Intervention Fund is paying, nothing will be deducted from your severance payment..
